Dr. David M. Oliver is the founder of Living Water, LLC. He loves Jesus Christ and is joyful about helping others experience empowerment. He is an encourager who listens carefully to God on behalf of others. 

​

Dr. Oliver takes a multi-disciplinary approach to renewal and healing that combines Scripture, counseling, and brain science. Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, he assists pastors, Christian leaders and churches to experience the empowering presence and deep healing of Jesus Christ. He draws primarily from the strengths of Transformational Leadership Coaching, Christ-centered Spiritual Direction, Inner Healing, and Freedom Encounter Deliverance to develop the kingdom potential of individuals and groups. Clients may meet by phone, internet video conferencing or in person.  

 

Dr. Oliver's dissertation in Spiritual Formation from Asbury Theological Seminary focused on the relationship between the Myers Briggs Type Indicator and Preferences for Prayer. He holds a Master of Divinity from Duke University Divinity School. He served churches in Ohio for nearly thirty years before founding Living Water, LLC in 2008. He has been an adjunct professor developing and teaching graduate level courses at Malone University and Ashland Theological Seminary. He is a mentor coach with Freedom Encounters, Inc. and has earned two certifications in Christian leadership coaching. His expertise includes personality types, spiritual gifts discovery, deep healing prayer, deliverance ministry, leadership development, congregational renewal, and strengthening marriages and families. He is certified to administer and interpret the Myers Briggs Type Indicator and Prepare/Enrich marriage resources.

Dr. Oliver’s books and articles are available electronically. Among these are Advent and Christmas sermon and worship resources, articles on prayer, healing, spiritual warfare, discernment, rejection, and more. He has co-authored two spiritual renewal curricula: Becoming Like Jesus and Into the Deep. These last two are for use as classes or retreats. Dr. Oliver is married to Dr. Jane Hoyt-Oliver, Professor Emeritus of Social Work at Malone University. He enjoys gardening, downhill skiing, scuba diving, and time with family.
